It was a rich experience. I say that because it’s expensive in Switzerland.
I had a great time in Basel, and the scenery was gorgeous. The streets were clean and the architecture impressed me.
The sun doesn’t set until ten at night, which I’m unaccustomed to having lived most of my life in California where the sun sets around 7pm.
The above-ground train system, buses, taxis, and cars weren’t the only means of transportation the people I saw in Basel use. There were many people on bikes, skateboards, skates, and scooters as well. When I saw a fifty-something year old woman make her way down the street on a scooter, I thought to myself: ‘this place is cool’.
