I visited the Frida Kahlo museum today. There are two museums in Mexico city dedicated to Kahlo. I chose to visit the seemingly most popular of the two, which is situated at the former home of the artist. The home was designed with nature in mind as is evidenced by the volcanic rock used to build it and the numerous trees that adorn the foyer. Kahlo’s life and art are on display here so visitors can get a true sense of the enigmatic artist that she was. Peronally, I learned about her art and life in 2002 after watching Frida — the movie starring Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina.
