2014 “To Me, Korea is…” Contest

I won the bronze prize for my submission to this contest.

Upon further reflection, however, I would like to make some revisions to this video. First, I would like to show these pictures when I say “despite tragic historic events”. These images would further drive home the idea that African Americans and Koreans share tragic histories. Since the video also reflects positive notions, perhaps it was best that these images were not in the video. Nevertheless, the video was a labor of love and I am proud of the submitted version. My goal was to draw parallels between Koreans and African Americans.
